Making Your Home Homier For Your Furry Friends
Pets are beloved family members across the world and whether yours if fluffy and playful or fuzzy and calm, giving them a home just feels right. Here at Legacy, we love to treat our furry friends as one of our own, including designing and building them their own custom spaces. Incorporating pet feeding stations in home remodeling projects is trending and is a great way to stow food and water dishes away from high-trafficked areas. From the laundry room to the kitchen, integrating your pet’s dishes into built-in aspects of your floor plan is a clever way to free up floor space and keep the bowls from sliding around when your pet eats.
What Is A Pet Feeding Station?
In this kitchen remodel, the food and water bowl are set into the island so that the height of the dishes are slightly elevated, and the bowls are tucked out of the way of foot traffic. While the bowls can be easily lifted out for cleaning, a pot filler is plumbed in so that the water bowl can be conveniently refilled without having to trek back and forth to the sink. There is an adjacent cabinet that can be used to store pet food, treats or other pet essentials, while the drawer above is a great spot to keep a leash.
This is just one example of how you can incorporate a pet feeding station into your home, but Legacy Bath and Kitchen offers full customization and design services to fit your design style.
